We enjoyed our stay at a quiet retreat close to the Camino del Norte. The location was perfect, just a few meters off the trail, saving us a few kilometers of walking. The views were breathtaking, and the value for a private hostel room was great. The staff even offered us food when we were exhausted from hiking. I highly recommend this hostel for those seeking a peaceful escape near the Camino del Norte.

The staff at the reception were really nice and helpful. They checked us in early and even upgraded our room. The bar patio had amazing views over the city and the drinks were cheap. We also loved the fact that there were great walking trails around the hostel, perfect for exploring the wooded area.
There was no one available at the reception until 4pm and they left at 8.30pm, which made it difficult to get assistance outside those hours. Additionally, there were no towels provided and no option to hire them, which was a bit inconvenient.

The room was quite basic and could have been more comfortable. the lack of towels provided unless requested and paid for was inconvenient.

Friendly staff, dog-friendly, beautiful views, clean rooms, good food. No car needed, but buses are limited. Walking to the city takes 30 minutes down a steep slope. Wear good shoes. Taxi back costs €15.

I recently stayed at a youth hostel in a breathtaking location, Albergue Ulia, in San Sebastian. My travel purpose was to enjoy nature and relaxation, and this hostel exceeded my expectations. The high-tech rooms were incredibly comfortable and had convertible beds, tables, and wardrobes. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The bar-restaurant had limited kitchen capacity, but the views and quiet atmosphere made up for it. The location, perched on top of a mountain, offered stunning views and easy access to hiking trails. I highly recommend this hostel.
I couldn't recommend this hostel more.
